What I Never Learned In Kindergarten

These are the things that no one ever taught me, that no one ever could have taught me because I never would have listened. These are the things that I found out on my own, that were hard to realize, but that certainly took some of the weight of the world off my shoulders once I did.

I have realized that my writing is my own. There will always be people who like it, and there will always be people who hate it, but no matter what, it's my own. I can share it to help others, or I can keep it to help myself. It serves a purpose, and most importantly, it's good.

There will always be people more beautiful than I am, and there will always be those less fortunate. I am not a fashion model, but I'm okay. I fall in the middle, and that's just fine.

There are two types of goals: those that are attainable, and those that aren't. To be realistic is to divide the categories, and shoot for both. To be negative is to assume they are all unattainable. Stay real.

There are always going to be people who support you during the various times of your life, but I've learned that the only person you can expect to always be there for you is you.

Everything in life has it's ups, downs, and curves. There will always be good periods and bad periods, but in the end it all evens out, and all around it's pretty nice.

Every day is another piece of your life's puzzle. There are beginnings and ends in every one -- all you have to do is find them.

Most people were raised, were supported, and were loved. These unsung heoes are the ones who made me who I am, and I want to thank them. They did a pretty damn good job.

There is always something that can be better. There is always something that can be worse. There will always be changes, and hate, and love, and simple contentment. There will always be days to live for and days to die for. But more than anything else, there will always be a reason to go on.
