(Note: I am not using the anime levels of Champion, Ultimate, and Mega. Instead, I am using the LCD Adult, Perfection, and Ultimate. So Champion=Adult, Ultimate=Perfection, and Mega=Ultimate.)
It is just a normal day. Two years after the real world was threatened by the strange creatures known as Digimon, everyone is in peace. If it wasn't for Silphimon & Shakkoumon digivolving to their Ultimate forms, the Earth wouldn't exist, but that's in the past. In a small apartment in a suburb of New York, a young man named Duke and his brother, Scott, are talking about past adventures, although Scott takes the cake for having adventures in the Digital World. Scott is now 21. Duke is 13. While Duke had a full head of brown, wavy hair done in a normal dome-top style (though some of his hair annoyingly hangs on his forehead), Scott's hairdo looked completely different. Scott had his black hair cut very short into a flattop, earning him a nickname of "Tenchi" to go along with his other nickname of "Scat." Duke sat on a wooden chair in the kitchen, bored out of his mind, as he laid his hand on his dark-blue shirt with a symbol that looked like four spiral lines coming out of a circle with four triangles in between the spirals. He also had on navy blue jeans & some Reebok sneakers. Scott, meanwhile, was wearing a long-sleeve white T-shirt with a red & orange fireball and Japanese Kanji on the front. He too wore navy blue jeans & Reebok sneakers.
In another part of New York, two former Digidestined, Mimi & Michael are having a picnic. Mimi's strawberry blonde hair swirled in the gentle breezes, as did Michael's long blonde hair. Betamon's mohawk was barely affected, as the green lizard happily munched on some Potato Salad. Mimi wore her customary red & blue top with white skirt, while Michael wore his green & yellow shirt and white pants. The two were enjoying their Spring Break a lot. Mimi's Digimon, Palmon, is still in the Digital World. Back to Duke & Scott. They continue talking, but Duke misses his hometown of Denver, where he used to play video games with his friend Willis & his Digimon, Terriermon & Lopmon.
"You shoulda seen it Duke. There we were, the entire universe about to be destroyed by Apoclymon. We were in sort of a black darkness. Bakumon was low on energy, as were the other Digimon. Me & the others were about to be destroyed, but the power of our Digivices powered up our Digimon and send Apoclymon back into the world of Darkness." Scott was telling Duke.
"I know, I know, and your Digimon was sacrificed & the egg was lost somewhere. I've heard this like 700 times. You need to find a new story, Scat." Duke replied.
"Humph," Scott said, looking away from Duke.
Just then, Scott's phone rings. He answers, and tells Duke that Mom & Dad want him to come home. Duke leaves soon after. Scott, meanwhile, reminisces about the old days, and wishes he could see his Digimon again.
Meanwhile, in the Digital World, Palmon is sleeping, relaxing, enjoying the peaceful life, when she is woken up by two small Digimon. Both of then looked like small lizards. They had suction cups for fingers, large, confused eyes, and a small tuba around their necks. They were Geckomon.
"Palmon! You gotta hurry! There's some sort of monster attacking our village!" Geckomon #1 shouts.
"Yea! It's swallowing up our entire town!" Geckomon #2 yells.
Palmon instantly gets up and follows the two to the village. The flower on the top of her head sways backwards as she runs. Her long arms are being dragged behind her and her flat feet manage good traction on the soil. When she gets to the village, the Digimon is horrified. There she sees a huge pile of purple sludge swallowing up entire buildings. She instantly recognizes it as Raremon.
--Digimon Analyzer Begin--
Raremon. An Adult-level Digimon, and a pile of sludge. He stinks up any place he goes to and loves causing mayhem. Incidentally, he was originally defeated in the real world by Kabuterimon.
--Digimon Analyzer End--
"I'm gonna have to Digivolve to beat this thing. Palmon digivolve to...." the plant says, but nothing happens, "Palmon..."
She needs Mimi.
At home, Duke is eating dinner with his Mom & Dad. His dad, Stephen, is worried that he will be laid off soon. His wife, Mary Ann, tries to calm him down. Duke quickly finishes and goes into his room to play some video games. When he goes into his room, however, he finds a strange device by his computer. Picking it up, Duke recognizes it. It is small, grey-white, with three large blue buttons and a small LCD screen in the center. It's a Digivice!
"Heh. Scott must have left it over here last time he came over" Duke said to himself, "But the last time he was here, he wasn't in my room."
Just then, the computer screen & the Digivice screen started glowing in rhythm. Duke was amazed at the light show, and before he knew it, he found himself going into the computer and landing in the Digital World.
"Wha? Where am I? What is going on here?" Duke asked himself. He'd never seen anything like it. Lush foliage of bright green & blue trees, blue/green grass everywhere, and a sky that was perfectly clear.
"This doesn't look like New York. Of course, that would be an improvement." Duke said to himself, walking forward. He didn't get two feet before he tripped on something.
"Ow. Now what? What is that?" Duke said, spying the strange rock. Picking it up, he realized it was a giant egg. It was white all over but had red & orange marks all over it. It was pretty heavy too, and about half as tall as Duke was.
On the other side of the Digital World, Palmon was having a tough time dealing with Raremon. Her Poison Ivy attack only made Raremon mad, as his sludge quickly covered the vines. She realized she needed help, but she had no way to call for it.
Duke, meanwhile, was inspecting the egg, which had a big dirt clump on it. Rubbing it off, Duke saw part of a message, but it was too forgone to read. Just then, the egg started shaking. Duke let go of the egg quickly and jumped up. The egg broke apart to reveal a small, brown, ball with a spiky hairstyle.
"What, what in the world?" Duke said, frightened, "What the hell is going on here?"
The Digimon opened its eyes for the first time and looked around.
"Wow, I can't believe it's been over 10 years! It feels great to be alive. Scott! Scott, where are ya?"
Duke just blinked. The Digimon saw him.
"Oh, I'm sorry, lemme introduce myself."
--Digimon Analyzer Begin--
Linksmon, a baby Digimon. His sense of adventure is about as big as his appetite. He is a small brown ball with three large pieces of fur sticking up.

"Lin..Linksmon? You're a Digimon!" Duke cried in excitement, "Then all of Scott's stories were actually real! I thought only Willis had Digimon."
"Huh? You know where Scott is?" Linksmon asked.
"Yea, he's at his apartment, in New York, which is where I should be." Duke said.
"But, I'm his Digimon partner, and only the specific Digidestined can crack the egg a Digimon is born in. That means..." Linksmon began to say.
"Don't tell me I'm a 'Digidestined' like Scott is?" Duke asked.
"Yea, I guess. Let's find a way out of here. Scott will know what to do." Linksmon said, "But first, I'm hungry!"
Duke fell down after hearing that. Linksmon hopped ahead to find some food, with Duke chasing after him. Later, he managed to find a large fruit from a tree and feed it to the hungry baby. The fruit was bigger than the Digimon but was all gone in a matter of minutes. Duke tried to get another, smaller, fruit for himself, but fell down and landed on his back hard. When he got up, he was surprised to find a large blue ball standing where Linksmon was before.

Kaziomon, the In-Training form of Linksmon. This Digimon looks like a blue ball with two hairs on his cheeks & one on his head. His face is peach, unlike his body. His attack is called "Bubble Blow."

"What....What did you do?" Duke yelled in fright.
"Silly. I digivolved. Scott must have told you about that." Kaziomon said.
"Uh, right. Yea" Duke said, scratching his wavy, short brown hair and adjusting his blue shirt. After dusting off his jeans & sneakers, he & Kaziomon walked around some more, trying to find a way back to the real world.
"Man, Where is everyone?" Duke asked.
"I dunno. Before I was destroyed, there were tons of Digimon here." Kaziomon said.
Just then, a small, black, reptile of some kind appeared before the two.
--Digimon Analyzer Begin--
Demidokumon. A Rookie level Digimon. Demidokumon is related to Demidevimon in that they are Virus-type Rookies. His "Fury Flames" attack will leave his enemies scorched. He looks like a small, black lizard.
--Digimon Analyzer End--
"What do we do now?" Duke asked.
"We fight!" Kaziomon said, "Kaziomon digivolve to..."
Nothing happened.
"Huh? Why didn't I digivolve?" Kaziomon wondered.
Demidokumon didn't care, and shot flames at the two. Duke's shirt was burned a bit, but Kaziomon dodged it. The small ball shot Bubbles, but they were quickly overrun by Demidokumon's "Fury Flames" attack. The flames sent Kaziomon into a nearby tree. Duke finally got up to see Kaziomon hurt. He tried to rush over to him, but the Virus stopped him and shot flames at him. Duke fell down again, burned once again. Demidokumon was about to chomp down on Duke's arm, when the Digivice Duke had with him started to glow. Kaziomon glowed as well, and powered up.
The Digivice sent a white stream of data into Kaziomon, who was temporarily in a black plain with words all around it.
"Kaziomon digivolve to......BAKUMON!"
--Digimon Analyzer Begin--
Bakumon. The Rookie form of Kaziomon. Related to Tapirmon, Bakumon looks like a small elephant, except with four legs, instead of a ghostlike vapor that Tapirmon has. He has a special steel helmet, and his "Baku Blast" attack is very deadly.

Bakumon tackled Demidokumon to the ground before Duke could be hurt. The virus yelled "Fury Flames" and shot flames at Bakumon, but it didn't hurt much thanks to his helmet. Some of his brown fur as well as his tusks were singed, however. Bakumon reared back his head and yelled "Baku Blast!" and shot out a large blue ball, which hurt Demidokumon badly. Another attack and the Virus type was deleted. Bakumon was happy for himself, but Duke just stared at the elephant wide-eyed.
"What's wrong Duke?" Bakumon asked.
"Wha...You digivolved again. Exactly how many levels can you 'digivolve' to?" Duke asked.
"Six. Baby, In-training, Rookie, Adult, Perfection & Ultimate"
"Uh, yea. That really explains a lot. But HOW did you digivolve?" Duke asked again.
"I used the power of the Digivice to digivolve. I guess I'm your partner now, since Digivices only work with the human's partner. I wish I knew more, but I don't" Bakumon replied in a deep, gruff, voice.
"OK...." Duke said, as he ran deep into the jungle. Bakumon followed.
"Where ya going?" Bakumon yelled out.
"I'm going to find a way out of here, this place is way too weird!" Duke yelled back.
