A New Journey Character Bios

Hello. Since you're about to read "A Brand New Journey", I thought I'd give you some background information on the story. You see, the story is really a sequel to "A New Journey", which was on the Pallet Gym. The ideas about the story & the adventures the gang has had and will have along the way have been in my head for quite some time before I started writing them in a Fan Fic. First lemme go over the four main characters:

Matt: He's the main character of the story. He loves to go for an adventure, and is willing and able to do anything he has to to right what's wrong. It was because of him that Team Rocket botched the missions on Hell Fire Island and Cinnabar Island. He got his first Pokémon: Zubat, by capturing it when it was living in his chimney. His main rival is Randy, a young boy who likes to pick on Matt, and has beaten him once outside of Viridian City after Matt got his Earth Badge. However, Matt managed to best Randy early in his journey in Viridian Forest, and again in the Pokémon League.
Current Pokémon: Golbat, Golem, Kingdra, Beedrill
Released Pokémon: Raichu, Flareon, Fearow, Gyarados, Raticate (sacraficed himself to save Matt from Butch & Cassidy)
Pokémon in storage: Venusaur, Magnemite, Staryu, Seaking, Weepinbell, Kangaskhan, Drowzee, Exeggcute, Tauros, Gloom, Onix, Growlithe, Slowpoke, Nidorina, Paras, Voltorb, Tentacool, Abra, Diglett, Dewgong (Staryu and Abra are semi-released at this moment.)

Josh: Josh is a young trainer who Matt met outside of Viridian Forest. He had lost to a bully trainer named Adam, who was beaten by Matt. Ever since then, Josh & Matt have been best friends. Josh wants to be a Pokémon enthusiast, like Bill, and strives to attain all knowledge about Pokémon. He is quite smart for a 10-year-old, since he's been studying Pokémon ever since he found out about them. Currently he's in love with Megan, but hasn't admitted it.
Current Pokémon: Nidorino, Butterfree, Sandslash, Pidgeot, Politoed

Megan: Megan is the daughter of Scott, who helped the three boys get out of a top secret island off the coast of Lavender. The island was full of cloned Pokémon. A long time later, the three ran into Megan as she was being chased by men in black suits & bikers. They saved her, when she revealed that her father was being held captive. The four trainers went to Hell Fire island, and met Hell Fire himself, a Team Rocket agent, who almost succeeded in transporting cloned Pokémon, but the combined efforts of the four trainers stopped him. For revenge, he shot & killed Scott. Ever since then, Megan has hung around the gang. She is in love with Josh, but hasn't admitted it yet.
Current Pokémon: Nidorina, Vulpix, Machop, Dratini, Pichu

Here are some of the support cast seen at various times.

Zach: Matt's brother. He joined up when Matt got back to Vermillion City after starting up. At first, he didn't want to go with Matt, since he wanted him to find out about Pokémon his own way, but his parents convinced him. He used to be a trainer about 3 years before Ash Ketchum started out. His team used to be Golem, Scyther, Pinsir, Growlithe, Starmie & Parasect, but now he just has Golem, Scyther & Pinsir, however, he is currently putting together a nice team again. He stays behind in Vermillion City to help pay for the medicine to cure Amy's disease.
Current Pokémon: Golem, Scizor, Pinsir, Rhyhorn, Lapras.

Mom & Dad: Matt & Zach's parents live in Vermillion, and their names were never mentioned. Dad used to work at the steel mill, helping to create cruises, until the St. Anne sank and many workers were laid off to pay for the material to re-build it and the liner business hit a downtime. Zach managed to get hired in re-building it thanks to his Pokémon. Mom is an expert cook, and always knows how much of one ingredient to put in her meals. They make a living off of Mom's cooking, while Dad tries to find another job. Currently they are taking care of the sick Amy.

Randy: Matt's main rival. He does not like Matt, and likes to pick on him whenever he gets the chance. However, he is a successful trainer and is very skilled. He likes to use a lot of defensive moves while battling, then go on the offensive when his opponet's Pokémon are tired out.. All of his Pokémon have a Psychic-type defensive move, like Barrier or Reflect, and one attack that increases speed. However, because of his loss in the Pokémon League, he's been rethinking his tactics. Currently he's won 1 out of 3 battles against Matt.
Current Pokémon: Farfetch'd, Golduck, Primeape, Vileplume, Magneton, Rapidash, Ampharos, Stantler

Amy: Amy was originally Matt's Raichu's trainer. She used to work at the Vermillion Gym, but she got in a fight with Lt. Surge & quit. She then set out to become her own trainer, but has never been able to leave Vermillion because she can't afford to since she left the Gym. After Team Rocket almost succeeded in capturing Raichu, she gave it to Matt for safe-keeping. She helped train Raichu for the Pokémon League also. Right now she is bedridden with a rare disease called kusomia that, if left alone, will disintegrate her respirtory system. It is currently unknown exactly how she got this disease, but studies show it is hereditary, which is a problem since Amy's parents aren't alive.

Mr. Jones: Mr. Jones is the only human who lives on the Pinker Pokémon Ranch, a farm just outside of Fuschia City. He raises all sorts of produce and meat for Fuschia, perhaps too much. He once had a rogue Bulbasaur cause trouble, so he kicked it out. Eventually, that Bulbasaur evolved into a Venusaur and went on a rampage, only to be captured by Matthew with some help from Flareon, which evolved from his old Eevee. He gave Flareon to Matt for safe keeping while he stayed on the ranch with his pal, Growlithe. When Matt and the others came back, business had quadrupled and he needed help. To make things worse, this business man named Anthony Stragona wants to buy the ranch, by any means possible. So, Matthew left Flareon back at the ranch because it would make it happy and it can help Growlithe protect Mr. Jones.

Duke: Duke is a trainer Matt met on the Water Field in the Pokémon League. He is a Jr. Trainer, but wears his outfit with red & black colors, in effect looking like a living Coca-Cola ad. He fought Matt in the Pokémon League, but all three of his Pokémon lost to Matt's super-charged Raticate.
Current Pokémon: Blastoise, Kingler, Jolteon, Tyrogue, Donphan, Charmeleon

Kouru: Kouru is another trainer Matt met in the Pokémon League, on the Ice Field. He is a specialty trainer in that he usually only raises Bug-type Pokémon. Not much is known about him, but he is Duke's rival. Despite what you may say, he is NOT a copy of Jeff from "My Best Friends." Read the Inspirations for the reason behind Kouru's appearence.
Current Pokémon Known: Venomoth, Heracross, Beedrill

Hiro: Hiro was a trainer Matt fought in the 6 on 6 match of the Pokémon League. This is the trainer that kept Matt from winning the whole thing. In case you haven't figured it out, yes it is the hero from Gold/Silver.
Current Pokémon Known: Chicorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Furret, Marril, Flaffy (I made this team up based on the Pokémon US names I knew from G/S, which wasn't much at the time, since it was months away from being released in the US.)

Jason: Jason was the son of famed Team Rocket leader Giovanni. After Giovanni left Team Rocket, Jason stepped up and tried to follow in his father's footsteps. He has no idea where his father is, but he feels once Team Rocket rules the world, he will return. He knows that very few agents have very powerful Pokémon, so instead of trying to steal trainer's Pokémon, he's been trying to clone them. However, his funds are limited since he lost the Viridian City Gym to Gary Oak. So far, he himself has not participated in a battle, allowing his subordinates to do the dirty work. His best agent is Kataki and his best duo are Butch & Cassidy, however, Kataki rebelled against him and is now presumed dead.

Kataki: Kataki was Team Rocket's top agent. Unlike most of Team Rocket, his Pokémon are well trained and very strong, almost as strong as the Grand Masters! He tried to challenge the Grand Masters one time, but lost to their superior powers, especially Pikachu & Dragonite. However, if need be, he can enter the battle as well, for he is the strongest human alive. Not even Bruno can take him on! Thanks to his strength, he is able to fight equally well against strong Pokémon, such as Machamp or even Mewtwo. Nobody knows how he got this strength, but he is feared because of it. He also loves torturing his victims before killing them. Usually he phsyically tortures his opponets, but he did a mental torture on his boss, Jason, right before rebelling. Right now he is dead after the bout with Mewtwo.
Current Pokémon: Sneasel, Gligar, Houndoom, Nidoking, Poliwrath, Tentacruel.

The Grand Masters: The Grand Masters consists of the best Pokémon trainers in the world. Very few trainers are able to achieve this status. Current members are Ash Ketchum, Lance, Karen, Koga, Bruno, Will, Hiro, and Kris, although Hiro and Kris were not appointed when Matt first ran across them. They hold a responsibility to protect their country from evil beings, such as Kataki and Jason. Their Pokémon are very powerful and tough to beat. So far, only one trainer can even come close to beating all of them: Kataki, and he has yet to succeed without the help of a Legendary Pokémon.
Ash's Pokémon: Pikachu, Charizard, Meganium, Totodile, Cyndaquil, Bulbasaur
Lance's Pokémon: Dragonite, Dragonair, Charizard, Aerodactyl, Gyarados
Karen's Pokémon: Umbreon, Murkrow, Gengar, Vileplume, Houndoom
Koga's Pokémon: Crobat, Venomoth, Muk, Forretress, Ariados
Will's Pokémon: Xatu, Slowbro, Exeggutor, Jynx, Alakazam
Bruno's Pokémon: Machamp, Hitmontop, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Onix
      Hiro's Pokémon: See above
      Kris's Pokémon: Unknown
