Triple C Gears Up to launch its new Beacon Program

East Wareham, MA – Triple C is gearing up to launch its Beacon program this winter. The Beacon is a new product on the market that will provide a Beacon tone on a radio frequency. The device can be attached to a necklace as a pendant. The Beacon will be dedicated to ensuring that every child has a method of being recovered if they have been lost or kidnapped. The Beacon can be used with the Amber Alert system giving every citizen the opportunity to be a hero. Amber Alert can enable commuters in cars to tune to the frequencies on their car stereos and contact the authorities with the license plate number and location of a vehicle when it received the Beacon’s tone. There are 48 million school age children in the U.S. alone. Other potential users of the Beacon may be for lost hikers or the elderly. Triple C is encouraging community members - including parents, grandparents, teachers, senior citizens, college students and high school students - to purchase a Beacon for their loved ones in the event that they are lost or abducted. All a person has to do is activate a simple jumper switch that will immediately start the Beacon’s oscillating tone signal, which can be received on any conventional home or automobile radio.

Jay Crittenden, spokesperson for The Beacon says, “ If one child is found or one perpetrator is deterred Beacon will be a success."
