Wishing Upon A Star

July 3 -- Sticky Situation

Let me tell you, while singing in Boston this weekend may have been a good paying gig for the chorus ($1,000) for the two days, it's brutal out there!

I have no idea what the temp is right now, but looking out the windows is like looking through pea soup. The air actually looks thick. I'm not relishing heading out there today. I've frozen two bottles of water, that will likely be totally thawed before I even get a mile down the road!

And the damn costume doesn't breathe at all.

We'll be dead.

I'm refusing to drive into the city. Parking costs a fortune and you drive around forever trying to find an open lot. So instead we'll take the "T". I actually like riding the "T", it's fairly clean, and a great place to people watch. You never know what you'll encounter. My favorite was the woman who got on at Fenway and had a boa constictor named Rikki Lee wrapped around her neck.

I came close to jumping out of the moving car!

I couldn't get far enough away. I hate snakes. I hate all rodents too. This includes gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs etc. I have a particular aversion to squirrels, but I'll save that explanation for another day.

I also enjoy going into Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market. Just not on a day when the fry factor is so high. Of course, it's overpriced and very crowded, but I still enjoy it.

I'm hoping to avoid tension with the emcee people today. I am feeling on edge about this, and I know I'll say something I regret if I'm not careful.

I'm going to have to do what I can to avoid the indivduals that cause my blood pressure to rise.
