What a Dee-lite :)

Hey everyone. My name is Dee and welcome to my page.
Ok, I tried to add a picture, but I couldn't do it, so Kristen did it for me. Of course, she can since she knows this stuff better than I do, so I give Kristen mad props. :) But yeah, that's me.
I took that picture on accident. I was posing for the camera (which I put to take a picture for me), but it didn't go off and I was going to see what was up with it and it took the picture. So, it's an action shot of me. :DDDD But I like it....it makes

Anyway, onto some stats about me:

I was born on March 1st, 1981 in Henrico, VA

I'm 19 years old and a true Pisces

I hail from Richmond, VA.....the mecca of tobacco products (ooh yeah, we are the founding fathers of lung cancer, baby). I love Richmond, no matter what others say...I'm just attached to home, I guess.

In Richmond, I attended Meadowbrook High School. I graduated in June 1999 with an Advanced Diploma complete with the governor's seal. I'm schooling in Boston, MA....the center of New England, baby (clam chowder and lobster....I'm not a fan, but it's good times for everyone else).

I'm here in Boston attending Emerson College (to you Boston folk, go to the intersection of Boylston and Tremont...that's basically where we are. For you MBTA lovers, it's the Boylston stop...Arlington is good, too, if you are up for a brisk stroll). I'm here, majoring in TV/Video and hoping to get a job in a production warehouse or perhaps working with digital video in movies.

Boston is nice, just very cold....and I'm talking both weather and people. I'm from the South and we say "Thank you", "Please", and "Excuse me." Here, these words seem to not exist. Also vacant from this area are Arby's, Friendly's, Waffle House, and Mr. Pibb...what's up??!!

I have one older brother, Stefan, who's 24 now. He keeps playing World Traveler and keeps going to Europe every time he gets money (he gigs as a serenading trombone player in local Richmond bands and organizations and makes some good money...). So, he does that and brings me back snowglobes (I collect them). Also in VA are my mom, my dad, and my grandma, who used to bartend (cool, eh?)

Here in Boston, I hang with many different people. One person is Stuart. I met Stuart in the lunch line at my cafeteria on the first day of school. Stuart tends to be a very friendly and approachable guy (whenever he starts to talk to people, it's like "Ooh, the social butterfly has emerged from his cocoon!") and he talked to me first. Thank god since my orientation group made me feel like an outcast. I also hang with Kaela and Johanna, who are my suitemates (although I'm way tighter with Kaela than Johanna). I also go to shows and concerts with Hallie (my favorite wacky girl from Alaska) or I'll "do lunch" with Casey (my favorite bald gay man!) Rosita is my girl, too (who I am gonna be roomies with next year in our apartment out in Allston). Mostly, I have a lot of acquaintances on campus that I'll talk with in class, walking to class, or at lunch. Some people, I've also met at Stuart's wild apartment parties (chaos on St. Patricks Day!!) At the phonathon (one of my jobs), I have pals, too, but we never really hang out outside of it. But when I see my fellow coworkers, we'll chat or say hi. It works for me.

In Virginia, I have a few more compadres. I hang with Kristen, Emily, Heather, Brian, Jeremy, Elissa, Adreaunn, and whoever else that comes along. I met Kristen in French I, but we really became buds in 11th grade via America Online. I always drag her to Waffle House, where she looks on at the "chefs" in disgust. :D Emily, I met in 6th grade in 6th period band and I thought she was really bubbly when I met her. Emily and I tend to sit and talk for hours on end about EVERYTHING. Heather, I met my 11th grade year when I visited her lunch table to say hi to people. I'm Heather's therapist. Brian is my Navy boy and he stationed in Goose Creek, SC, with his wife Sarah and their son Collin (how old do I feel!). :( Bri, I miss yo' white ass. Elissa, I met in 10th grade when I sat at her table for lunch. The girl is my twin. We love to hug and jam to oldies in my car (the almighty Cheesemobile, baby!) Jeremy, I met in band camp. I thought he was a pretty boy when I first saw him, but really, he rules (but he still is a pretty boy. ha ha ha). However, Jeremy has also been snatched up by the navy and he's up in Great Lakes, IL. Adreaunn, I met in 11th grade and I was the first person at MBK to ask him if he was gay. Go me! Adreaunn is currently in Texas at a Baptist College....let's see how long THAT lasts. HA HA HA!!! Then again, he never comes home any more, so I never talk to him anymore either. :(

I spend tons of time online, too. My personal faves to talk to are Kristen, Chuck, Janelle, and whoever else will IM me. Those are the main ones. Sure, I know Kristen in person, but it's our main form of communication. Chuck, I met in Movie Madness chat once when I was 15...he defended me when everyone picked on me. So, he's my pal and one of my close confidants. He lives in Texas (only steers and queers come from Texas!! Jk!!!) and I hope that I get to meet him someday. That would be an interesting meeting. :) Janelle, I met in either Canada Teen Rave or Movie Madness chat (on AOL). I'm not sure which....I used to hate her, but we grew to be good friends. I went to visit her in Canada during the summer and it was a fun weekend. I love Canada a lot and I hope to go there again for more than 2 freakin' days. I think Janelle's a doll and a great gal...I hope to hang with her again sometime...maybe I'll visit PEI or something. :D

My favorite memory as a child is sitting by my backdoor with my older brother, watching the rainstorm going on outside. Our power was out and my mom and dad came up behind us and watched it with us. Then, my parents decided that we should get out of the house and have dinner. So, they took us to Friendlys. I had to be like 5 years old or so.

My favorite memory growing up was when I was 15 years old. The summer after my freshman year of high school remains the best to this day. Every night of June and July, my friends and I went out and cruised Richmond city streets. It was my introduction to a new independence that I hadn't experienced before ever, so the refreshing joy of those times are still highly enjoyed within in my thoughts.

A time when I laughed the most is when I went to see Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigalo with Kristen. Overall, the movie wasn't hysterical, but I'd see it all over again for the narcolepsy scenes. I still hold firm to my statement that those scenes are the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a movie. I about died and Kristen had to help me gain control of myself.

I love to sleep (I tend to moan weird in my sleep...I don't get it), get online, stay up all night, play guitar, listen to music, watch TV, rent movies, daydream, laugh, dance alone, and spend time with my loved ones. This ranges from family to friends. Anyway, that's basically my life in a nutshell. Like it or not, it exists. So, bleh to you! But if you dig it, it's good times.
