Asphyxiation Believed Cause Of Man's Death

Joseph R. Kibler, of 300 Arch Street, was pronounced dead at 11:55 a.m. yesterday (May 29, 1987) by Gedon in a parking area behind the Lose Elementary School.

According to Gedon, additional tests will be conducted but the death does not appear to involve foul play or to have been self-inflicted.

Gedon said the ignition was switched on in the car in which Kibler was found and the gas gauge indicated empty. He also said windows on both sides of the car were down about an inch.

Born in this city January 25, 1965, he was a son of Robert J. and JoAnn Longo Kibler.

Mr. Kibler was employed by Gruenberg Oven Co., Inc.

Surviving are his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Kibler, of this city; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schemery, of Montoursville; a daughter, Miss Tamra Kibler, of this city; maternal grandfather, Joseph R.
