More photographs of my grandmother

These are all photos of my grandmother's barrage balloon crew, when she was a girl in England. She lied about her age at 17 to join the RAF, and later left the RAF when her mother was at home dying. I never had a chance to really talk to her about it, and she passed away in 1993, at the age of 70. She would have loved Living History, and it would have loved her as well. These photos were a gift from my mother for Christmas, 1999... I had never seen any of them up until that point. It's amazing how much history hides in boxes in attics and basements.
