From this day forward"
"For better and for worse.
"With this ring, I thee wed."

Finally, the day has arrived.
Dressed in silk and white lace.
Soon to be my lover's bride.

Alone, here I stand and wait.
Wait, I will wait forever.
For my love, he is only late.

Distant wedding bells ring.
Celebrating our new beginning.
While bluebirds soar and sing.

Here and now is our time.
Please don't keep me waiting.
Whispers of doubt fill my mind.

At last..Daddy is he finally here?
His silence deafens my racing heart.
Sounds echo from a falling tear.

Lost amongst frills and lace.
This diamond ring shines no more.
My love...gone without a trace.

"With this ring, I thee wed."
Vows that will now go unsaid.
