Hyrule ExtrasThere are many other things that Link is able to do outside of the real game. Such as getting all the upgrades, heart pieces, or skulltulas. They aren't entirely necessary but they are fun. Here are a few that you can do if you've already beat the game, or just want to take a rest from the plot. -The Cow- If you go to Lon Lon Ranch as an adult and have already beaten Ingo in a race and have won Epona, you can take your try at an obstacle course. Talk to Malon after you beat Ingo and she will say ask if you want to try an obstacle course. Once you beat the record time(It's very hard and takes practice)you will win a cow which means you can have all the milk you want. -The Frogs-This is a great opportunity to get rupees if you aren't filled up. On Zora's River there is a log along the rivers flow, with a small "pad" on it. If Link takes out his Orcarina on the pad, frogs will jump out and ask him to play a song. If you do this numerous times, you will end up with two heart pieces and a lot of Rupees. This can only be done when Link is a kid. -FISHING POND!- This is a great way to have fun when your bored. It isn't necessay to the game but is almost a whole game by itself. If you are Kid Link, the largest you can catch is a 10 pouder which will give you a heart piece. For Adult Link, the Largest you can catch is a 20 pounder which will give you the gold scale. QUESTION: To anyone who is reading this and has caught the rumored "hyrule loach" please e-mail me at duey3827@yahoo.com(see the bottom of this page). -Gerudo's Archery Range- This is a very hard, but fun, thing that you can do after beating Gerudo's Fortress. To the very right of the Fortress, if you go up a steep hill, you can see a group of targets set up. Talk to the Lady under the "tent or whatever it is, to have a chance at the race, it costs 20 rupees. What you have to do the first time is score at least 1000 points, if you do you get a heart piece. You next challenge is 1500 points, if you beat this, you get an ungraded quiver(arrow "sheath"). -Gerudo's Training Ground- The ultimate challege for the bored. The only problem is that you have to aquire certain items in order to beat the trials. It takes a long time to get all the keys, but in the end, your reward in the Ice Arrow. -Running Man- This is the Hyrule running man that asks for challengers after you get the bridge repaired. I don't know if it is possible to beat him because every time I do it he beats me by one second. I have heard that you have to get better that 1:01 to win. My best so far is 1:13.
