Zelda Gamecube

Link fights his eternal foe, Ganondorf.

At Nintendo Spaceworld 2000, a gaming entertainment event, Nintendo revealed it's next-generation console. The new system, under the codename "project dolphin", was to be renamed to the Nintendo Gamecube. In a short video clip, nintendo showed what the small purple box could do. The graphics were impressive, and consisted of many nintendo favorites, such as Mario, Metroid, and of course, Zelda.

After the show, many wondered if the games from the clip would be made to actual games for the gamecube. Nintendo made no comments on the console's future games. The video clips shown had been run from the gamecube, but didn't necessarily mean a the games were in production.

Amidst all the choas in the gaming world, I am pretty sure Nintendo will create another Zelda epic for the Gamecube. In ign.com's gamecube section, a link to a Zelda Gamecube game has already been established. Although no one knows the name, or if there actually will be a Zelda for Gamecube, it makes perfect sense for it to be true. Zelda is one of their most popular franchises and over the years has accumulated many fans. In any case, if they do release a Zelda for Gamecube, I'll be there to buy it.
