Zelda Gamecube InfoIn a recent press conference, nintendo staff talked more about the gamecube, including the next installment of the Zelda Series. Apparently, as with Majora's Mask, Shigeru Miyamoto will not be the project director for Zelda Gamecube. Miyamoto also said that details for the game will not be revealed until May 2001. This means that it is likely nintendo will showcase Zelda Gamecube at the E3 entertainment show in Los Angeles. "Takano is actually the director for the next Zelda game. I am not in a position to tell any details (regarding) the Gamecube project until May 2001." The Zelda Director, Takano, did comment on Zelda Gamecube as well. He hinted to the fact that the Gamecube controller will open many more options for the game. "The new controller will allow for many different actions. We are experimenting with what kind of actions the controller will be able to accommodate. What we have to do next is work on the details of the storyline, but we first want to see what can be done with the Gamecube controller. At this point, Link is running around the screen and looks very cute and adorable." This is good news for Zelda enthusiasts, hinting that maybe Zelda could be released shortly after Gamecube, or even with launch. However from the view point of a fan, I think that it would be better not to rush the project until further experience is gained. More news on Zelda Cube hopefully in May. 4/15/01 -The Cavern Webmaster Back to Zelda News All material in this site created by me belongs to the Cavern.
