This is a picture of a very unusual tombstone, located at "Ware Cemetery" in Templeton, MA. This picture, taken by Bridget 10/30/99, captures the image of an "angel" on the tombstone itself.

This tombstone, final resting place to Mr. Ware, was actually featured on the hit television show, "Ripley's Believe it or Not," starring Jack Palance some years ago. Here's the story, as recounted to us by the groundskeeper of this cemetery:

"Mr. Ware witnessed a murder and conveniently met with his own demise. When the stone was erected, the image you see appeared and was originally thought to be water damage. The stone was removed and a new one erected, only to have the image re-appear exactly as it had on the previous stone. People have tried to steal this gravestone, only to be stopped at the gate either by: (a) police, or (b) car problems. No one has been able to remove the tombstone from the cemetery."
