Halloween Foosball News 'N Notes

Just as Senator John F. Kerry and President George W. Bush had their first of three debates last night in Miami, there is talk that a fourth presidential debate could be in the works for October 30th, only 3 days before Election Day!  Of course, the real Senator Kerry and President Bush wouldn't actually take part in the "debate."  Rather, Democratic loyalist James Ostis and the Republican-leaning Patrick Casserly would present each of their respective candidates in the first ever Halloween Foosball Tournament Debate.  The debate is reportedly hinging on whether or not Mr. Casserly will be able to make the cross-state journey from Amherst to Lowell.  It is not known whether or not Greg Ouellette, who 4 years ago referred to himself as a "Nader person," would be invited to take part.

The legendary Ptolemy will be honored at this year's Halloween Foosball Tournament.  Ptolemy, who's had a presence at every HFT since 1999,  will throw out the ceremonial first ball prior to the 2004 Tournament.

The Halloween Foosball Committee has officially approved a rule change for 2004.  This year if a ball is kicked into the goal but bounces out, the point will still be awarded and play will be stopped.  In the past, the goal would not count and play would just continue.

It is now October, and the ninth annual Halloween Foosball Tournament is only 29 days away.
