Video Taping began today on the 2005 Six Day Countdown/Pregame Show for the Halloween Foosball Tournament. Also major work was done in the cellar as the HFT Arena is finally in playing shape, and almost ready for tournament conditions.
One of the annual highlights of the 6 day pregame show is the coverage of the World Series of Arm Wrestling between Steven Ostis and Uncle Billy Ostis. Game One of the WSOAM took place Sunday night with Uncle Billy coming from behind and defeating his nephew and godson when Steve's wrist gave out. Steve has been in many arm-wrestling feuds, and the feud with UB is definitely his most legendary. However many still talk about the time when John Makumbi beat Steve in arm wrestling back when they were in 7th and 8th grades respectively.
Greg Ouellette is still scheduled to make a special cameo appearance in Lowell tomorrow as we now enter the week of the Halloween Foosball Tournament. Ptolemy was wondering if that meant his hated arch nemesis, Galileo would be in town as well.
Hakmeng Kang will be at the Halloween Foosball Tournament this year. The Halloween Foosball Committee has held off on announcing it for several days now, but the former record-setting member of the LHS Swim Team confirmed it in an instant message conversation with James Ostis last week.
There is also the potential for an explosive situation involving two of the Ostis brothers' cousins, and Nick Ostis's friend and doubles partner, Kyle Bielski. More on this situation as it develops, although the Halloween Foosball Committee hopes that cooler heads will prevail.
