2002 Celebrity Online Halloween Foosball Torunament: FINAL FOUR

Welcome to the second Celebrity Online Halloween Foosball Tournament...only this year we use the word "celebrity" very loosely. Sure we have a few Oscar winners, as well as a couple former WWE Champions, we have world class athletes, famous politicians....and we have Scott Zolak and Bernie & Phil (entering as tag team). So without any further adieu, lets start the voting!

Round One saw that he was good enough to beat the Yankees, but the Rally Monkey wasn't enough to beat Maximus as Russel Crowe squeaked by the Anaheim Angels' mascot in one of the closest matchups of the first round 7 votes to 6...The other really close match was Ben Affleck vs. Snoop Dogg. It was a close, but Affleck was able to win by the same total, setting up a big match with his good friend, Matt Damon... Damon easily beat Limp Bizkit's lead singer, Fred Durst 10 votes to 3 (Greg is not expected to be among the three that voted in Durst's favor either)...Overall, it was a great round for Hollywood actors as Denzel Washington beat Brock Lesnar(7-3),and Sir Anthony Hopkins beat Kurt Angle (10-3). Antonio Banderas did not fare as well, however, falling to SNL funnyman, Jimmy Fallon 11-2 (Apparently a lot of people saw Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever). In a matchup of football players, Adam Vinatieri came from behind and beat Scott Zolak 11-1...Vinatieri was the only football player to win, as Beyonce Knowles eliminated the North Dakota Dorgans' franchise QB, Kurt Warner 8-5. Beyonce will be opposed by the other solo female competitor to win, Lisa Ling of the View who beat Eminem 7-6. Former Kansas Senator, Robert Dole beat former NBA player Michael Jordan....wait a second, he came back? oh dis. Dole have 7 votes to MJ's 4. As for Dole's Democratic counterpart, Ted Kennedy had the misfortune of having to face SpongeBob SquarePants in the first round. The great political man from Massachusetts got only 2 votes, while the guy from Bikini Bottom got 11. Kennedy was lucky, his fellow New Englander from a few states up, Stephen King was the only person who didn't recieve a single vote. King was shut out 13-0 by Mike Myers. Manny Ramirez just missed out on being the second shutout winner, but some cold-hearted soul voted for John Henry Williams. Bernie & Phil teamed up to beat Mandy Moore 7-5. And finally, the two HBO favorites both moved on. James Gandolfini beat Jet Li 9-4, while Larry David beat Tom Cruise 7-5.

In Round Two, Larry David survived a scare as he won an overtime squeaker by Mike Myers. (Updates of Round 2 & 3 will eventually make it here)
