On the 9th of June of this year the Foyle Arts Centre Tai Chi Community participated in the annual "Walled City Festival". Here is a brief summary of the event.
We arrived in the city centre of Derry at around 12:00 pm on the day of the event. The initial picture is of myself, Charlie, and a few other members of our Tai Chi group:
The next picture is of us when we began the form demonstration on the day. there were almost 20 of us altogether in the demonstration team.
This picture shows the famous walls of Derry in the background. These walls have been in existance there since the 1600's.
The final picture in this section shows the group going through the form for the second time during the demonstration. We all had a lot of fun that day, and our presence was appreciated by the crowd, judging by the applause we had after..
Everybody seemed pleased at the turn out for the demonstration on that day.
This illustrated the great cooperative link between the Tai Chi Community, and the City of
Derry as a whole. The Tai Chi group was very proud in participating in such a
memorable event.
