Ok so you have decided to learn how to get music from sonicnet, this page should help out alot.

Well first things first, you need to get the artist i.d. number. In the input field below put in the name of the artist you want. If nothing shows up then the artist is not on sonicnet. If something does show up, it should have a button beside it labled EDIT. Put your cursor over it and press "Cmd+Ctrl" now in your status bar you should see something like this "javascript:Openwindow(####)". The number in there is the Artist i.d. number. Write that down.

Now you have the artist i.d. number. The next step is to find an album number. In the input box below put the artist i.d. number to the right of A=. Then hit enter. If you come to a screen that says something about file not found, hit Cmd+R. Keep doing that until it says something else. Then hit the "find" button on your keyboard. Type in .jpg. Now the number to the left of .jpg is the album number. Write that down as well. You should see the name of the album somewhere on the page.

Here is where you can get a thumbnail pic of the album.

Put the album number before .jpg after c.
If you just want to browse through the album images, enter any # from 1 - 13961

This is for people that know about pnm strips.
Type a station number in place of the "__"
To get a list of stations and their id numbers click here...move your cursor over a station link, hold "ctrl+cmd" to get the station number

Top = Sonic Stations , Bottom = Member Stations

Now you are ready to get into the pnm strips. Do you still have the artist i.d. number and album number? Good. You're pretty good at this.
This is a pnm strip pnm://mtv.nvglb.com/mtv/content/0//_1_1_07.rm (scary isn't it? lol) Ok look here, pnm://mtv.nvglb.com/mtv/content/4/artistIDnumberHERE/albumNUMBERhere_1_13_07.rm. See the number 13 in the pnm strip? It is the song number. Change this to whatever. =-þ. Now there is that number 4. That is a varible ...there are 6 of these.(0 1 2 3 4 5). If you get a popup that says "Real Audio cannot play", change the varible number. If none of the varibles don't work. Then the album doesn't work. Save the pnm strip for later. Sonicnet often activates cd's in the dozens. Test your pnm strip here:

Now cut (Cmd+A) and copy (Cmd+C) your pnm strip. Now goto your account (whether it be at Tripod, Geocities, or Angelfire) and make a new file with the extension .ram. Make SURE that you only have the Advanced Editor setting on. Then paste (Cmd+V) the pnm strip. Then Save it. There you go. A brand new song =->.

If you have no clue of what songs are on the cd you have then
