We walked on Beringia

With a few shows here or there, we're getting ready for some summer touring with Sentai and Hand Fed Babies. We'll be out from July 22nd - August 7th towards the midwest & the not-so-far-south. As we get the dates & venues & all that figured out, we'll start listing them. Go here to look @ all of that infojazz.

Also-
we are still looking for a 2nd drummer, so if you are interested, please write.

From NoDraftNoWay.org: "On March 31, the Selective Service System (SSS) will report to President Bush that it is ready to implement the draft within 75 days. Right now the SSS is busy staffing local draft boards, training high schools registrars, and searching the Dept. of Education's Computer files to ensure maximum compliance. It is clear that the Bush Administration is preparing for a draft."

Love me like I love you

Many thanks to Patrice for our show at Stonehill College and being interested in our experimentation on the stage, and to On The Surface and The States for playing with us. Thanks to Jeff for inviting us to play in Attleboro which unfortunately got cancelled. We hope to play with his band sometime soon. And finally, thanks to Micah of Underground Studio for setting up an amazing show for us. We had an awesome time and can't wait to come back and go get Indian food with him again. We had a great time playing with Goodnight or Sleep, Surefire Broadcast, and Eternal Essence, and playing with our friends in Zebras again.

Torgo

We'll be playing some shows this month out of state. Our friend D. Alex has come back up from South Carolina to help us out for these shows & we're very excited to be playing with him again. Hopefully the weather will be good, if the hands of fate allow. We're all looking forward to playing and going back to DC and getting some strawberry-banana soy smoothies.

Our split with Sentai should be coming out soon, with a tentative release date of February 14th.

More girls than boys now!

Our good friend Marty has recently become our new and awesome cello player. We have been very busy lately loving her a lot and writing some new songs with her. It has been a lot of good, and we are very excited!!

Our goal is to embark on a small-sized mini-tour over the winter, as we have a(n angry) date with a certain inauguration in a certain Washington, D.C. in January, and we'd love to play some shows on the way there and back.

In other totally awesome news: on tour we recorded two songs w/ Hugh McElroy while we were in DC. While we were there again w/ Q, we finished it all up, & now our two songs will be 1/2 of a split w/ our friends Sentai on Hugh's label Ruffian!!!

Let's not forget who won the Civil War.

Wow. The Q & Not U shows were awesomeness. Thanks so so much to Chris, Harris, & John for bringing us along, Dale X for helping us be there in a big way, & Hugh McElroy for bringing it all home. So much love. Mathematicians, Everyone @ SPACE, Everyone @ Middle East, Everyone @ First Unitarian Church, Mike Mckee, Evan and Judy, Food For Animals, Manhunter, & everyone @ Black Cat. So much love.

We're taking a break from playing for the the rest of this month & the month of November while we write some new material & work out our growing pains. We hope to be in good stead hopefully by December.

Dale X

Apologies apologies, as we had to cancel on Eric from Bombs Away Booking last week. We found ourselves short a member. Luckily our friend D. Alex Meeks has travelled all the way from South Carolina (!!!) to help us out w/ our next few shows.

So yes, we're in the market for a drummer (besides our other drummer, because that one's still here).

ON A VERY BELATED NOTE: W/ all the recent shakeups & beatdowns we forgot to thank Eric & The Gadabout Film Festival/Air Raid Barcelona, as well as Mike & Paul/The Kiss Ups. The show was great (& our first time playing outside), the people were great (except fot that drunk guy that took Michelle's sticks during our set & then spilled beer over a bunch of our things afterwards), & New Paltz was great! Thank you to everyone.

Backage!!!

Tour was great! We'd like to thank (in no particular order) Daniel Striped Tiger (well, besides them) Jake, the Pirate's Cove, Empty Silos, Hugh Mcelroy (x1000), Megan, Collin Crowe, Paul, Carl & Carl Jr., Mr & Mrs. Mcelroy, A Novel Idea, Hits, Eric & Air Raid Barcelona, Chris Richards, Joe Macon, Dan Danger, Leah, Katy Otto, Elana Fishbine, Kevin & Dan Haab & Hugh & Chris's roomates for the floorspace & patience!!!

We also recorded 2 songs w/ Hugh while we were in DC. There's talk of a split EP w/ our friends Sentai!

& last but not least, we're going to be tagging along w/ our friends Q & Not U for four or five East Coast dates on their upcoming tour!

Tourage!!!

We'll be heading out for 10 days w/ our friends in Daniel Striped Tiger from July 9th-18th! We guess that pretty much sums up things as of late. XOXO!

Has that long, lazy slide through summer started already?

So we've been writing a handful of new songs as of late (& that's a large undertaking for us), in between 5/7th of us having finished school &/or moved back home for the summer. Not to mention we're also lazy & not really computer savvy, so sorry we haven't updated in a LOOONG time.

Here's to hoping the next one's both quick & interesting!

A quick one while he's away

So we've been very busy/lazy lately, so aplogoes in advance for not updating sooner.

Gloucester started off really sketchy, but quickly turned into a really great night. It was great to play/hang out w/ Daniel Striped Tiger again... we're hoping to do much more of that in the future. & thanks so much to all the people in Gloucester just for being the people in Gloucester!

D.C.'n the New England

So we had to bow out of the show on Fri, due to (assumed) adverse weather conditions. Being native New Englanders all, there's a certain amount of joy taken in winter. Well, that's officially stopped. Like last month.

Thank you to everyone in D.C.!!!: Hugh!!! Katy!!! Evan!!! Wade!!! Sean!!! Matt!!! Basla!!! Andrea!!! Chris!!! Ross!!! Collin!!! & to anyone else that we've forgotten, once we sort out our collective brain, all wrongs will be righted!!!

We Are Ghosts.

The EP is out. Took long enough, geez. An mp3 is up as well, but holy hard drives Batman it's 6.2MB (& that's the shorter song)! While that means nothing to you hi-speed internetters, those of us still cursed w/ a dial-up connection collectively "ugh."

Let's not forget the new email address! Because Angelfire certainly did!

Oh yeah! We have a shows this & next month! Go here for all that info/jazz.

We Are Go.

Wow. The CD Master has been sent out to be duped, the inserts are slated to be printed & folded this week, & the vinyl sleeves have been ordered (or will soon be... that's Anne's world). It's taken us exactly a year since recording began, but the EP should (knock on wood!) be out in the next couple of weeks!

Oh yeah! We have a road trip this month (& a show next month)! Go here for all that info/jazz.

Straight fom the email account of Anne:

"It is interesting, that termites don't build things, and the great builders of our nation almost to a man have been Christians, because Christians have the desire to build something. He is motivated by love of man and God, so he builds. The people who have come into (our) institutions (today) are primarily termites. They are into destroying institutions that have been built by Christians, whether it is universities, governments, our own traditions, that we have.... The termites are in charge now, and that is not the way it ought to be, and the time has arrived for a godly fumigation."--Pat Robertson, New York Magazine, August 18, 1986

"In case some of you didn't know, Pat Robertson is on the 700 club, which is a Christian TV show, and I hate him."--Anne Macon, via email, January 2, 2004

A marked deck indeed.

Oh yeah! We have a show next month! Go here for all that info/jazz.

Hamp-shah!!!

After more than a few knots in our collective stomach leading up to the show (a couple of bands cancelled, ride/packing issues, the PA & mics), things went very smoothly. In fact, we all agree it was our best yet (& just wait 'til Tom gets back!!!).

Zipper scared the bejesus out of everyone w/ their Aquanet soaked arena soloing blasting inbetween self-confessed slabs of pop, while Daniel Striped Tiger drove over two hours to give it to us all dark & brooding. Our heads are still swirling from all that reverse delay madness! We're also very sad that the boys in Tristan Da Cunha had to stay home & nurse a couple of bouts of sickness, among other mishaps. Perhaps fate'll let us have them out here next time.

So, thanks again to Zipper for the microphone awesomeness (the first time none of us have shared a mic!); to Daniel Striped Tiger for driving so far & rocking in all the right places, & to everyone else who came (Nicole & John Morin, HurleyDanJesseShark&Bear, Dave Flynn, Josiah & Bethany, Ian, Andrew, Brother John, & the impeccably coiffed BUFFY!!!). After the last couple of (mis)adventures we've had, you all helped make things great. Joe Macon gets a big big thanks cause we missed him the first time through!!! Sorry Joe!!!
