The flame has died,the desire lost
We have gone our separate ways
No more nights,together not
No sharing all our days

What we had was good and strong
A love as true can be
He has gone and now I must be brave
For he does not love me

He chose another girl you see
The one he's had before
I don't know why he would do that
I thought our love was sure

So the man in my heart is lost for good
Alone I must remain
