For the Sake of Love

Why...?
Why did you do that?
Your blood on his sword...
IS on his sword,
But you're smiling!
I don't understand.
You felt useless
Because you couldn't fight,
But when he used you-
Used your body
Like a shield becoming a relic of war,
You smiled.
Your blood soaks your robes,
His sword stands out from your breast,
And you still smile.
You may not be able to fight,
But you alone are the real weapon.
Are you finally happy?
Your lips smile,
But the speech is leaving your eyes.

For Yumi Komagata

Notes: boy, does this one have a history! After rewatching the Kyoto-hen, I wrote this for the Yumi Shrine, which went down. So this didn't get done. Later, I asked Ty to translate this into Japanese. Then I retranslated it back into English- the version you see here. Eventually, I want the Japanese up. I may do a calligraphy of it and just scan it in as a JPG because I can't write in Japanese on my computer.
