2000 Cedar Point has two listings in the Millennium Edition of the Guinness Book of Records for:

1999 Thrillride.com -- the web site devoted to amusement park enthusiasts -- honored Cedar Point with Four No. 1 Reader's Poll awards: 1.) Favorite Amusement Park; 2.) Favorite Steel Roller Coaster (Magnum XL-200); 3.) Favorite Freefall Ride (Power Tower); and 4.) Favorite Thrill Ride (Magnum XL-200).
The National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA) voted the Magnum XL-200 the "Favorite Steel Roller Coaster in the World" for the ninth consecutive year.

The Guinness Book of Records declared the Mean Streak the tallest wooden roller coaster in the world (161 feet).
1990 The Guinness Book of Records credited the Magnum XL-200 as the fastest coaster (72 mph) with the longest vertical drop (194 feet, 8 inches).
