Ask Kimo #1

Okay, I got some questions from "Ask Kimo..."
1) Is Mark Teixeira the real deal? Absolutely! He missed the first half of the season with an injury. But then he came back to tear up A Ball and AA Ball. He is currently tearing up the ball in the Arizona Fall League. It will be interesting to see what the Rangers will do at 3rd base for this upcoming season. they have Hank B., Teixeira, and Hubert Perry whom they just signed to a 2 year contract. Look for one of these players to be traded for a lead-off hitter.
2) What should I do in the off season to get ready for the draft?
Obviously, you need to get your keepers. Personally, I think the most important thing to do is find a strategy so your team can win the league. In 2001, Taylor, punted saves and won the league. Here are some auction strategies from 2002...
1. Kimo, punted starting pitching.
2. Burr, went with offensive power players and he tried to find that one ace for his pitching staff.
3. David, tried to corner the market for starting pitching.
4. Gary and Rishi, just punted their whole draft.

So don't worry about the players, your team needs to find an identity. You need to find a system that works for you.
Can Josh and Rishi beat Kimo in tennis?
I only have the opportunity to witness one of these players in action. Unfortunately the action didn't last long. Josh fainted after playing 2 minutes of basketball. But I have had the pleasure of playing in the league with these two and they have yet to show me that they can get along for over 2 minutes without blaming each other for something. So teamwork is out the door. Prediction of score, 6-1, 6-1. Not bad guys, two games against a tennis pro. Oh yeah by the way, to make it more fair, I played left handed.
Beerman, can you believe that they questioned my tennis ability? All I have to do is give them one of my power serves into their nutts and then Josh is going to wish he had fainted.
