My Dear Friend

Title of Your Page Title of Your Page

Jacqueline’s Junque

From the day I called you friend,
you shared a piece of my heart.
Over time, I have come to take pride,
in my devotion to you.
Even in times when I believed
you were trying to push me aside,
I was still true to you.
As much as I needed a friend,
you must have too,
and I decided
that I loved you enough
to want to be yours...
My dear friend.

Now, I share a place in your heart,
and will be there whenever
you need me to be.
I may not always be there in the flesh,
but I will be there in spirit.
I have learned to cope with your moods
and understand your needs.
When you have become angry,
I have offered my kindness,
to soothe and comfort.
I have never laughed at you,
but I have laughed with you
more times than I can remember.
And when sadness has overwhelmed you,
I often wept alone,
and never let you know....
My dear friend.

When I thought you felt down
and kicked around by this world,
I've tried to pick you up
and brush all your doubts away.
When you think you can't continue,
I am here to remind you that you can,
even if you do not hear me.
If you should become discouraged,
I will boost your ego high,
for mine is lifted in unison...
My dear friend.

Those times you wish to talk,
my attention will be all yours.
I don't take our friendship lightly,
it's my desire, never a chore.
At times when you must mourn,
please know that I mourn with you.
Should you need silence,
yet not want to be alone...
We will sit together
resting in peaceful comfort.
And when you wish to play,
you will always have a playmate...
My dear friend.

When you feel on top of the world,
I will pat you on the back,
knowing you deserve to be.
When you are confused,
if you lose your way,
let me guide you in the right direction.
Lean on me when you need support,
let me share your pain and sorrow.
What good can a friend be,
if you can't understand
that I will always care?
You will never be alone again,
for a peice of me
will always be with you...
My dear friend.
