Welcome to Little Critters. We hope you enjoy the site though it's not finished yet. Please come back often to watch as we grow.

Check out our friends at Exotic Pet Haven!!!

Little Critters is involved in many different aspects of animal care. We have an educational program that involves exotics, wildlife, and domestic pets. Since we have kept many different animals, we also provide species specific information on care that can be found in the links below. We also have a rescue program with concentrations leaning more towards exotics as they are hard to place when unwanted. Rather than see them mistreated or euthanized we decided to open our doors. At times these animals can be brought back to optimal health, readjusted, and placed in to carefully screened new homes. When they can't, or it would be detrimental to the animal, Little Critters becomes their forever home.

Our most recent involvement has been with The New England Wildlife Center. Our owner Jessica Furr, who started Little Critters in 1997, has been working at the Wildlife Center's hospital to learn more about wildlife care and rehabilitation. She was so moved by the work she's been involved with, that we've added a Link to our site dedicated just to the center.

Little Critters has added a new member to it's team, Justin Curran, who designs and oversees production of all our Critter supplies we offer for sale. Everything we offer comes from either trusted suppliers, or is hand crafted right here at Little Critters. Though this is a fairly new area of business for us, we expect that it will be as successful as our other adventures. Feel free to brows in our "Critter Stuff" area to see what is available so far.

Though Little Critters is not a breeding facility, we do occasionally have babies available for sale. We also occasionally have rehabilitated rescues available, though we carefully screen homes, so be prepared to prove your worth as a potential Little Critters parent. You can obtain more information on this and check on what's available in our "Available Critters" area.

After learning all that we have about Wildlife, Exotic, and Domestic pets, we feel that it is important no matter what you're looking for in a pet to be able to find a reliable and trust worthy breeder. Little Critters is an avid supporter of animal education, and we believe that you should be researching long before you start searching for a breeder. A good breeder can however aid in your research on a particular species. They can help you understand what this animal will "truly" be like in the situation you're interested in. You can check out some of our breeder friends in our "Breeders Page" area. Also think about adopting. There are lots of animals out there "needing" homes. You can search here, or we also have a "Available Critters" page where we feature adoptable animals as well.

Having brought up breeders, we feel it is important for you to know your state and local laws pertaining to the species in which you are interested in keeping. One of the reasons Little Critters receives some of it's rescues is because of legal reasons. It is very important that "you" as the potential owner know your laws. Legally it is not the breeder's responsibility, it's yours. Little Critters has taken the time to put together a listing of each state's contacts for this information. You can find it in our "What's Legal" area.

Since our information pages are a work in the making, Please feel free to contact us at the E-mail address below with any questions you may have. Information on exotics is sometimes hard to find, and we always make time for those being responsible and researching a species. Talking with other owners, and breeders is also another great way to obtain hard to find information. Little Critters has found a great friend in another site and group of people at Exotic Pet Haven. There you can find a huge message forum with loads of different species. They also have a wonderful chat area set up for it's members. This is a great source of information. We cannot recommend them enough. Also, before you leave we hope you'll take the time to vote for us at Pet Top Sites Practical Pet Care. Good luck, and we hope you enjoy our web site.
