Draco Malfoy is the only son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, a well known pure-blooded wizarding family who were the first to join the dark side with Lord Voldemort.When Voldemort lost power they claimed they had been brainwashed. Draco was taught to believe that rich pure-blooded families were in fact superior than
muggle-borns or like he likes to put it "mudbloods."
At Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Draco was placed in the Slytherin House (all
Malfoys have been in Slytherin for generations). Slytherins are known for their wits and
use of dark magic. His closest "friends" are Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle who also act as
his bodyguards. Draco is the "golden boy" for his fellow Slytherins and no one dares to contradict him.
Draco has never been on good terms with Gryffindor's "hero", Harry Potter. Ever since Harry turned down Draco's friendship the first night at Hogwarts, Draco has made it his right to annoy
Harry and his friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger (a muggle born). During his time at Hogwarts, he has done everthing in his power to make Harry and his gang miserable by getting them detention and insulting them every chance he gets.
Draco is the seeker on the Slytherin House Quidditch Team. He got onto the team during his second year at Hogwarts, when his father purchased the entire team new brooms (The Nimbus Two-Thousand and Ones). He isn't as good as Harry, but his team owe him many victories over the
Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw teams.
