Bicycle Tour of the Boston Marathon Course. Whether you've run the Boston Marathon or are a non-runner, enjoy a free moderately-paced (approx. 10 mph) bicycle tour of the entire historic marathon route on Sunday, April 9, 2006. This tour will allow everyone to experience and see the entire course at the same pace as the elite marathon runners. Meet at 7:15 a.m. at the MBTA's Back Bay Station to take the 7:30 a.m. commuter train to Ashland. From Ashland we'll proceed 3 miles to Hopkinton to start the tour. The tour will go the entire 26.2 miles through Hopkinton, Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, Brighton, Brookline and ending in Copley Square in Boston. At the end of the ride we'll have lunch at the Copley Square park. No Registration required. Bring Bicycle, helmet, rain gear, water, lunch, flat tire repair kit, and money ($5.50) for Train .
