This is written
by my dear friend Two Eyed Woman Who Sees in Both Worlds.. we call her
Two Eyes. And I must say she's got a wonderful point .. I want to thank
you for letting me put this out there for all to see. As I share her feeling

It has recently come to my attention that there are still to this day
people who believe that the Native Americans are "Demonic”.
That we don’t believe in God. I am here to tell you differently.
The Great Spirit is God. Just as Buddha and Allah are. We don’t
believe any differently than you so called
Christians do. We have just given Our Lord a different name. So does
this make us demonic? Does it mean that we are evil because we can see
things that some people can’t? Our visions are no different than
a psychic. But yet we are condemned for them. Do you condemn the psychics
of this world? No you don’t. The people out there that believe
the Native Americans to be demonic and evil need to take look real close
at themselves. Go to the mirror and tell me what you see there. I can
tell you what you will say. You will say
that you see a good person. One who believes in God and is going to
Heaven. Now I will tell you what I see when I look in the mirror. I
see a good person who believes in the Great Spirit and will go to the
Happy Hunting Grounds to be with my ancestors. They are one in the same.
This country
belonged to the caretakers of Mother Earth long before you Christians
came here. Give us the respect that is due to us. We respect you and
your beliefs. All we ask is for the same thing. This country would be
a damn site better if everyone would stop judging others for their beliefs
and customs.
No one should be able to sit in judgment of another person. No matter
the race. That is the Great Spirit’s job. Not yours. I have a life
way.. not a religion. I believe in the good of people.. their hearts..
their souls. You Christians say you do too… I think not. I wake
each morning and thank Great
Spirit for giving me another day on this planet.. another day to share
my life with my family. Do you not do the same thing? If not then maybe
you should. Do not condemn something you know nothing about. Because
if you do.. you take the chance of not being allowed through Heaven’s
gates… take care in all you say and do.. as you will sit in judgment
one day. The persecution of the Native American people needs to stop.
Let's remember the Holocaust and the torment that the Jews had to undergo.
Let's remember
Wounded Knee and all the torment that my people had to undergo. Let's
not make the same mistakes. We are all related. Native Americans, African-American,
Hispanic, Asian, White... Red, Yellow, Black, and White.. They are precious
in His sight. Remember that. Take it to heart. If you are a decent person
then you will understand what it is that I am trying to say. If you
believe in the goodness of others you will understand. Do not condemn
something you don't understand. Something you refuse to understand.
Don't
make the same mistakes that our forefathers made. Move on and accept
that all nations are one nation. Under God. There will come a day that
we all will have to answer to the Great Spirit, God, Buddha, Allah..
whatever you want to call the Good Lord. May you meet Him with a pure
heart and soul. One free of condemnation.. free of hate.. but full of
love and kindness for your neighbor. Do not put me or my people down
for what it is that we believe in. Do not revert back to the time of
the wars between our peoples. Move forward and make your mark on this
Earth as a decent person who accepts all people as they are. Try to
understand instead of being ignorant. Ignorance is not bliss. Put your
hand in that of the Great Spirit and walk by His side. Once you understand
that we are all one .. that we are all related..
you and I.. then and only then will you see Heaven's gates. This is
my opinion... my belief.. I walk the Good Red Road everyday.. my hope
is that you will too.
