Interview with David Tom: "Liar Liar""
From CBS.com
On The Young and the Restless, DAVID TOM's character, Billy Abbott, is being lied to by his ex-girlfriend, Brittany. He thinks they slept together - when they didn't! Of course, Billy told a few lies himself while trying to keep his relationship with Mac a secret. Now, it's David's turn! The actor has an opportunity to bluff contestants when he appears on Hollywood Squares.
CBS.com: Is this the first game show you've ever appeared on?
DAVID TOM: It is - my first game show.
CBS.com: Your sister [Heather Tom, Victoria] was taping another show earlier today. She sat in the top right square and said that she was afraid of heights.
DAVID TOM: I want to get up there!
CBS.com: Are you hoping the fans can catch a glimpse of your personality instead of Billy's?
DAVID TOM: Yeah, a little bit. I can't wait. It's going to be fun.
CBS.com: Are you going to try to bluff your answers?
DAVID TOM: I don't know. If I know anything about the question, then I might try and say the right answer. If I don't know anything, then I'll obviously bluff.
CBS.com: Since this is being taped on a Sunday, what would you be doing today if you weren't working?
DAVID TOM: Well, I just got a new Ping-Pong table, so I've been working on that with my friends. I'm getting pretty good! [I'd] probably [be] just hanging out. [It's a] beautiful day outside. It's been raining all weekend, so I'd probably get outside - get out there with my dogs. [I would] take them up to the dog park.
CBS.com: On a different note, how are you feeling about your storyline lately?
DAVID TOM: It's interesting. I'm excited at the fact that it's really starting to pick up and climax.
CBS.com: How do you think Brittany's lies are going to affect your relationship with Mac?
DAVID TOM: I don't know. Right now [the relationship is] pretty damaged. The glass has been broken, but, hopefully, we'll get past it.
CBS.com: Do you think Billy will be able to forgive Brittany?
DAVID TOM: If he ever finds out what she did [and with] him being an Abbott, no. But he will probably come around. I think there's a little room for forgiveness. Hopefully, he'll find out.
CBS.com: Even though Billy is an Abbott, I think he's the softest one in the bunch.
DAVID TOM: Yes, I think he takes on a little bit of Jack. Jack always loses! [Laughs]
