Darren Hayes was the lead singer in Aussie duo Savage Garden, where he sold over 20 million albums. He is now preparing for a solo tour following the success of his first album Spin, which entered the UK charts at number two.
He is 30 years old and has a dog called Obi. He lives in San Francisco but grew up in Sydney.
Other half of Savage Garden, Daniel Jones, is currently managing his own band, Aneiki, who will be supporting Darren on the Australian part of his tour.
