Daniel first appeared in Neighbours in 1998. He played a character called Joel Samuels. He first stayed with the Kennedy's because he was Mal's friend. After a few months, he moved into number 30 with Toady. He studied Marine Biology in Erinsborough Uni but in his spare time, he participated in many sporting activities. He dated Dione and Felicity while he was living in Erinsborough. He left Neighbours because he was offered a marine biology job with a man called Vernon Wells.
