Everyone says Apple is doomed because of its small market share, but market share is not all that important. The PC companies, Intel, Dell, Hewlett Packard have market shares that exceed Apple's, yet it is the profits that they are not pulling in (thanks to each other, the magic of Linux, and partially Apple).

Want proof? Think about this: With all those companies, including Microsoft, competing with Apple, why is Apple still around? They've said Apple is about to die for over ten years. If it was about to die all that time don't you think a huge corporation such as Microsoft would have exterminated it by now?

This also proves that Apple is extremely successful. What other corporation could go head-to-head with Microsoft and survive so easily?

Microsoft is successful because it has tricked people into using its software while Apple could almost be called more successful for surviving the wrath of such a huge corporation and getting people to use its products because it puts out QUALITY products (well except for those hockey-puck mice but thats another story).
