I was born on August 25, 2003 in Norfolk, Virginia. My father was in the Air Force at the time. I grew up in many places while my father was in the military, including, Kansas, Virginia, North Carolina, Germany, Florida, and New Mexico. I actually went to high school in Alamogordo, New Mexico where I graduated fin 1986. I attended New Mexico State University for one year after graduation. My father retired from the Air Force on the same day I left home to join the Navy, May 31, 1987. Soon after I joined the Navy, I met my wife, Mary. On March 21, 1988, Mary and I were married in Virginia Beach, Virginia, while I was stationed at my first duty station on board the Spruance class destroyer U.S.S. Caron (DD970). My first son, Derek, was born on September 17, 1988. On April 28, 1990, our second son, Cameron was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. I transfered to the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in May 1991. Our third son, Dustin, was born while we lived in Cuba on May, 26, 1993. We lived in Cuba until January 1995, at which point, we transfered back to Virginia Beach, Virginia. In November 1995, I left the Navy. We moved to Decatur, Illinois at that point. Soon there after, I got a job with Firestone Tire Manufacturing as a tire builder. I worked for Firestone until December 2001 when the plant closed it's doors here in Decatur. At that point, I went back to school full time. In December 2002, I completed my Associates degree at Richland Community College in Decatur. I am now pursuing my Bachelor's degree in an alliance program with Richland Community College and Franklin University in pursuit of my Bachelor's in Business Administration. I am presently not working and going to school full time.
