Cazneve

After you stepped under the image of Rawburr, there was an explosion of choking wind and grit stung your face as you felt yourself being whirled and whirled around. Then you passed out. Now you awake, lying on a long, dusty road that stretches toward the setting sun. In the distance to the west you can just make out the forms of a decrepid village. Although the sun is low in the sky, and its rays are weak, you still pant and sweat, and your head aches. You look slowly around as you climb to your feet, and jump in surprise. Letting out a small gasp, you stare into two eyes of green-gold hue staring intensely out of a bush by the roadside. As you trembles, the bush rustles and a great sleek form leaps gracefully out. It is a female panther. Her hide is sleek and jet black, and her flat eyes are cruel and cold. Thick bands of sinew ripples under her flawless coat. She lets out a low snarl, revealing dagger-sharp, yellow teeth. "I am Herocia," she hisses. "I heard of your coming, and decided to give you a personal welcome." She draws herself up, her tail switching as her eyes bore into yours. "I am the Ruler Supreme of Cazneve, where you are now." Just then there is a violent rustling from the bushes and a second creature leaps out. This one is a lion. His coat is iron gray, and black bat wings spring from his shoulders. His angry yellow eyes flash as he shakes leaves from his tangled mane and flips his smooth, sinewy tail. "Ruler Supreme, hah!" he growls. "How about me! I am Killheart, King of Cazneve!" Herocia rolls her eyes and mutters, "Yeah, you're still sticking around . . ." Then she turns her gaze to you once more and speaks in a threatening tone. "You are welcome here, minion, as long as you are loyal. Beware--this is the land of your worst nightmares." And with that, both king and queen vanish in a cloud of choking black dust. ~+~ Which will you join? Red Rock County, ruled by animals? Or Black Sand County, where the humans reign?
