Foreword
Some time in the middle of March 2002, a group of students from
various JCs were admitted into Hwachong Junior College. Wearing their secondary
school uniforms, embracing the new environment that lies ahead of them. 2 days
after submitting their choice of subjects to study, a specific group of students
were sorted by dunno who and dunno how, into a class. That was then the birth of
02S7B.
Being a newly formed class, where the majority of the class are 2nd intakers.
There was great disparity among one another. Soon, few factions were formed,
classified into 3 main streams - The Proposition, The Opposition and The Neutral
Party. Initially, there was peace between each stream. However, as time passed
by, there was growing tension between the 2 main groups. Backstabbing, malicious
remarks were passed around. People were getting dirty looks, sniggers and
snickers from one another.
However, it was fate that I guessed brought us together.
There were certainly times that 02S7B came together as a class.
The time when we had to seek for benches so as to find our 'spot' in the left
wing of hwachong. The time when everyone was pissed with Miss Ong for her
unreasonable and domineering ways. The time when we were being notorious for
being talkative during bio lectures and defying orders. Certainly, the year 2002
was not smooth sailing, as we each had reserves about each other.
Nevertheless, 2003 came with the introduction of our Junior Class 03S7B and
things began to get better and more friendships were being fostered. The class
spirit was getting better. The first meeting with the juniors made us seniors
flustered and nervous, because we never actually had a senior class. Regardless
of that, we tried to assume our role of seniors and tried to induct the juniors
to the hwachong family. Various events follow suit which had brought us close
together. For example, JTS, STJ, Cross Country, Angel Mortal, Sports Day, S7B class bdae 02, S7B class bdae 03, Pe and many more
Hence, the purpose of this website created was to contain the memories that we
once shared in our junior college life and perhaps years down the road, one
could find pleasure browsing through the pictures and recollect that perhaps Jc
life in Hwachong was not futile after all.
