Synopsis:
An Indian man set for an arranged marriage goes on a bachelor trip to Canada. He's determined to fulfill his fantasies before settling down, but is constantly thwarted by an Indian woman he meets. After a truce is called, they make a pact: she will help him to meet women. Slowly, though, they begin to have more feelings for each other. (taken from fandango.com)
SPOILER:
Neal (Uday Chopra) lives in Canada with his parents and is a carefree kind of guy who also really likes women. His parents try to set him up with a girl and they and her parents find them in the barn getting frisky. This causes the parents to bring in their guru (whose son Happy comes along) and he suggests bringing a girl called Sweety from India over to marry Neal.
Neal finally agrees but only if he can spend the remaining 21 days of his freedom in Vancouver having fun. His father agrees and Neal heads to the city.
Neal decides to date one girl a day. He immediately picks up a girl named Kristi in a taxi cab and they make plans for a date at a club. Neal arrives at the club and anxiously awaits Kristi’s arrival. He is mistaken for a waiter by a girl asking for a corkscrew. It turns out to be Nikki (Tanisha Mukherjee). She is wanting a corkscrew to open the bottle of wine she had. While she is all over him looking for a corkscrew, Kristi shows up and takes it the wrong way. Neal says goodbye to Nikki and takes off after Kristi. Kristi agrees to give him another chance. Neal goes to the bar to get them some wine and Nikki appears from behind the bar drinking from her bottle. She is the bartender there and pours his wine from her bottle. She then gets fired by her boss to which she replies “You can’t fire me because I quit!”
Song: Halla Re **During this song, Nikki is dancing in front of Neal and cutting in between him and Kristi. Abhishek Bachchan makes a cameo and picks up Kristi and they walk off together.
At the end of the song, Nikki is drunk and tells Neal to take her home. He eagerly tries to get a taxi but she is too drunk to want to go anywhere. So Neal takes her to a seedy motel across the street expecting to sleep with her. Instead, Nikki passes out on the bed. Later on Neal takes a shower and realizes too late that he did not have any towels in the bathroom. He opens the door and sees that there are towels on the nightstand next to the bed where Nikki is sleeping. He goes to get a towel and hears a cell phone ringing from Nikki’s purse. He picks up and it is a woman asking where Nikki is. He winds up telling her where they are and she hangs up. Then Nikki moves her hand and it hits the remote, turning a porno movie on the TV. Then police burst in and Neal drops the towel in shock. He is taken to the police station, but they tell him that she has decided not to press charges.
Neal goes to a marina and watches a show with whales. He hits on a blonde sitting next to him and she takes him to a private place where they are going to go swimming. She jumps in and takes her top off. As he is starting to undress, his cell phone rings. It is Nikki wanting him to meet with her and explain about the previous night. We see that she has another job as a cashier in a supermarket and she is talking to him on the phone by her register. There are angry customers waiting for her to wait on them. He says he won’t meet her, but she threatens to press charges after all. He quickly agrees to meet her and leaves. Nikki’s boss then tells her she’s fired, but she says he can’t fire her because she quits!
When Nikki and Neal meet, Neal explains that nothing happened between them. As they talk Nikki starts crying and says that her boyfriend dumped her and she does not know why. She starts to take shots and soon she is drunk again. Neal and Nikki are in the back of a taxi and Nikki is leaning against Neal. Neal goes through her purse to find out where she lives. When the cab stops at a red light, Nikki falls face down in Neal’s lap. Neal looks out the window and sees Kristi sitting in a cab next to them. He calls to her and begs her to give him her phone number. She starts to give it when Nikki comes up from his lap. Kristi is disgusted and tells the cab driver to go. Neal takes Nikki to her place and puts her in bed.
Neal meets Karen the next day. She likes him instantly and writes her phone number in lipstick on his chest. They make a date later that day. They wind up parking that night and making out in the back seat of her car, about to have sex. We see a sign that says cars between a certain time in the parking lot will be towed. A tow truck pulls up and we see the driver’s feet as they walk up to the car. A flashlight shines into the car and we see that the tow truck driver is Nikki. She lets it out that Neal is getting married soon. Karen is upset at this and takes off leaving Neal stranded. Nikki says she will make it up to him and find him a girl in the town of Whistler. She guarantees him she can get him any girl he wants. He agrees and they make their way there.
On a ferry, they have a conversation where Neal finds out Nikki is a virgin and that is why her boyfriend dumper her. Neal winds up saying it was good she waited because your first time should be with someone special, not some idiot. Because then you will always remember that idiot for the rest of your life.
They then make their way for the town of Whistler.

When they arrive at Whistler, they are walking down the sidewalk when Nikki suddenly tells Neal to hold her. He is thinking she is crazy and then sees Nikki’s ex boyfriend Trish with another woman and suddenly realizes everything. He is upset to learn that this was all a con to get him to come to the town her ex-boyfriend is in to make him jealous. He decides to not help her and starts to call to Trish. Nikki plants a kiss on him to shut him up.
INTERMISSION
Neal is mad at Nikki for trcking him, but Nikki again promises to get him any girl he wants. He picks out a pretty blonde and says “that one” and Nikki arranges them to meet later on one condition: he has to sing poetry to her like in Hindi films and profess his love for her in front of Trish.
Song: I Am In Love **During this song we see Neal and Nikki following Trish and his girlfriend Amanda around singing their love.
Trish approaches Nikki and invites her and Neal to his place for a party. When they get there, Amanda flirts with Neal. Amanda suggests the four of them play water volleyball. Amanda and Neal are a team and Trish and Nikki are the other team. They play and then Amanda whispers to Neal that she will sleep with him if Neal wins. Neal hits the ball enthusiastically and it hits Nikki right in the nose. Trish takes care of Nikki and bandages her nose while Neal flirts with Amanda by the pool. Nikki then comes out and says they are leaving. As they are walking, Nikki tells Neal that Trish wants her back. Neal is happy that everything worked out but then Nikki tells Neal she dumped him. Nikki explains that she only wanted him back so she could dump him. She was upset that he had dumped her first. She is happy it worked out and says she wants to pay Neal back and find him a girl.
They go to a party. Neal winds up playing strip poker and Nikki comes over wanting to play. Neal tells her no and winds up dragging her away. She’s mad and then tells him to pick out a girl. He says he wants her. Nikki gets mad and says no. She winds up kissing him and then gets angrier and says for him to go that way and she will go the other. They walk off screen and then rush together again and kiss passionately.

The next morning we see that they spent the night together while out camping. They both wake up and it is very awkward between them. We hear their inner thoughts and both thought everything was special, but when they speak to each other everything comes out wrong. She thinks that he is going to hurt her and that he thinks of her as just another conquest. She decides to dump him first. He is wanting to propose to her and gets down on one knee. She thinks he is nuts and is about to dump her. She says to forget last night and it shouldn’t have happened.
She is driving them back to Vancouver and it is very awkward between them both. They pick up a pair of hitchhikers also heading to Vancouver and the couple starts to make out in the back seat. Nikki sees it and is disgusted. She says bad things about the guy while he says things about the woman. It is obvious that their argument about the hitchhikers is really about the two of them. Nikki throws Neal and the hitchhikers out of the car. She tells Neal that now he is the idiot she will have to remember the rest of her life.
Neal goes back home and is introduced to his future bride Sweety. She is nice and very pretty. Then Nikki runs out carrying a plate of cakes and calling Sweety “didi”. It turns out that Sweety and Nikki are cousins. Nikki sees Neal and is shocked. She calls Neal inside and they talk. She tells him that he can not marry her cousin. Neal wants to know why. Is it because she has feelings for him? Nikki gets mad and says that she will tell everyone out there what he really was doing in Vancouver. Neal runs after her and Nikki says that Neal has said yes to the marriage and that he wants to get married as soon as possible. Then we cut to a party.
Song: Akh Ladiye **Throughout the song, Nikki sees Neal dance wth Sweety and is very jealous.
After the party, Nikki is trying to open a bottle of wine. Neal produces a corkscrew and they talk. Neal says he knows Nikki will find a way to stop the wedding because she loves him. Nikki tells him she won’t.
The day of the engagement comes and Neal is nervously looking for Nikki but she is nowhere to be found. When it comes time to exchange the rings, he stalls as much as he can. Then his cell phone rings and it’s Nikki wanting to know if this is the idiot who is marrying her cousin. He tells her to stop the wedding and she hangs up. Then he looks up and sees Nikki running down the aisle toward him. Suddenly Happy jumps up and Nikki runs into him from behind. Happy announces that the wedding can not take place and that he and Sweety are in love. Neal says he can have her!
Neal and Nikki once again start fighting and each go off their separate ways only to come back together again kissing professing their love for each other.
