Name: Jewel Jewel of the Sea Lemon yellow sun, at its zenith, shone brightly among puffy white clouds in the sky. The sunlight glittered brokenly on the surface of the sea. Small waves swelled and rolled gently onto the shore. The tranquility of this scene was underscored by the splash of hoofbeats as Jewel, a blue mare of the Affinity of Sacred Sea galloped through the surf. Jewel's gray eyes were alight with pleasure. The little spikes on her face (one of her most unique characteristics) became visible as strands of her forelock were blown from her face by the wind. Her cresent shape azure mane was so short it somehow stayed perfectly in place. Yet her long tail of the same colour streamed out behind her, rippling like the waves. Sunlight reflected off of the pearls studded on her body from the corner of her eye to her elbow, and on the coronet of each foot, making them gleam. Her silver hooves sent up small splashes with each footfall. Jewel whinned as she continued to gallop past a lone orange starfish splayed on the shore. Suddenly she veered off to the left, flinging a spray of water. Jewel seamlessly slowed down from a gallop to a trot, and then walked until she decided to stop. Barely winded from the run, the blue mare's sides only heaved slightly. Sweat dampened her coat and stained the two pearl-lined red ribbons holding back her mane and tail. Once she'd caught her breath, Jewel gazed out to the sea, not really seeing anything else around her. |
