Haldir is one of the Galadhrim, the Elves of Lórien, brother of Rúmil and Orophin. He guards Lóthlorien's northern borders and was one of the Elves who intercepted the Fellowship. He guided the Nine Walkers into the forest to Caras Galadhon, where Galadriel and Celeborn reside. Lothlórien is a woodland kingdom situated southeast of Khazad-dûm on the banks of the river Celebrant. Haldir travelled beyond the borders of Lothlórien, he learned the Common Tongue and met Aragorn, who addressed him by name in Sindarin when they met. Haldir has blond hair, like most of the Lórien Elves, and dark brown eyes. The colours of his clothes are greys and dark red.When Haldir met with the Fellowship, he was armed with a bow like his brothers. But he also carries a sword similar in design to Gwemegil, Elronds sword. The handle of Haldir's sword is a Lórien design however, more slender and curved, dark brown with an elegant golden design. But at the battle of Helm's Deep, sadly Haldir was killed along with his fellow Elves....
