Old Ones, Dear Ones, Standing Stones

Ancient time piece, ancient thrones.

From Solstice to Solstice and all in between

Beloved King joins beloved Queen.

Old Ones, Dear Ones, to the North

Hear us now, please do come forth.

Old Ones, Dear Ones, to the East

Join us now, please share our feast.

Old Ones, Dear Ones, to the South

Share our kiss, mouth to mouth.

Old Ones, Dear Ones, to the West

Be one with us, oh sacred guest.

Standing Stones from times of Old

Ancient witness to secrets untold.

Throughout time, we've come, we've passed

 But your Circle endures and lasts.

Stones upon a Candle

If your spell calls for a long tall candle

within a clear glass jar,

Then here's a tip to help you conjure

magic near and far!

Place right near the candle's wick

a special stone or two,

Rosy quartz, green malachite,

or turquoise bright and blue.

The candle's flame will warm your stone,

as long as it stays lit.

Beneath the pool of melted wax,

your stones will gently sit.

Till candle's gone; an empty jar

with no more wick and wax...

Yet stones remain like prizes

in a box of Cracker Jacks!

 Winged white horse,

Pegasus in the Eastern Sky

Fly forth into my Circle

And join my simple story

Fire breathers,

Dragons of the South

Kindle my passion's flame

And join my simple story

Fish-tailed Lady,

Loving green-eyed mermaid

Swim gently into my arms

And join my simple story

Wandering great white wolf,

Hunter of snowy northern plains

Help me see what I need to survive

And join my simple story

Dear Lady, Dear Lord

Dear Ones of Old and of New

Who give myth and lore to each new day

You make the story quite real
