SFM - A the beginning tell us a few words about history of Flauros. You have had a lot of changes in Your Line-up. Introduce us Your present Line-up?

 We started Flauros back in 1996. So far we have made three demos, two 7” vinyl's, one cassette ep and MCD. We have had some changes in line-up but last few years there's been the same guys in the band. Our present line up is:

Sinkkonen: Vocals, synth

B. Tott: Bass

Thomas N.: Guitars

Wraith: Guitars

(A) Kartzu: Drums 

 SFM - Tell us the most recent about Flauros?

We haven't been able to play in a while but now things are looking better. A new vinyl should be out in summer and soon as the new rehearsal place will be found we'll start to make songs for full-length.

SFM - Is Flauros a "Black Metal" band?

Yeah, I would say so. Many may think that we aren't but I think that it's quite useless to describe our music with any other term that ”black-metal” for that's what it is really.

SFM - How do You define the term "Black Metal"?

Well, there's a question! It's impossible to define what is or isn't black-metal, one should just know it. 

SFM - What do You think of the "Black Metal" scene nowadays?

There's too much all kinds of idiots around. The unity of metal people have vanished. This may be the result of commercialization but today bands do not support each other like they used to. 

SFM - Why have You chosen the band name "Flauros".

The name fascinated me.

SFM - What is Your favourite Flauros album/song?

Hmm, the best song would be ”May the Hell Embrace” and I hope that we are able to record it again sometime with better production. The song appears on our ”Third Curse” 7”ep.

SFM - What bands have been an influence for You?

Lot´s of bands really. From old heavy to recent BM. I take influences all the time from music I listen.

SFM - Have You played any other bands before Flauros?

Our guitarists and bass player have had lot's of previous bands. For Kartzu and I, Flauros was the first and will be the last band there is.

SFM - How important is the image of Flauros? Will You use face-paint?

We use face-paints but not always. We have played gigs and have taken pictures with and without paintings. The image of Flauros is not very important to us.

SFM - How do You compare Flauros several years ago to the present one?

The songwriting and lyrical consept have improved a lot as well as the music generally. We have grown lot as an inviduals and musicians.

SFM - And how did you discover metal and the underground personally? What your parents and familly tell about your "hobbies"... Is it hobby or pure way of your life? How does it looking, please share with me....

 To me ”metal” is a way of life for sure. I have always listened metal music. My family have supported me a lot since the day one.

SFM - Will You tell us some Your touring plans for this year?

There will be no gigs in near future. We are not a live-band. I don't enjoy playing live.

SFM - Tell us who is an author of Your lyrics and what does they refer to?

I make almost all lyrics. Mostly they are about the end of world, suicide and blasphemy.

SFM - Are You inspirated by Satanism, Mythology, Occultism, Legends....

I am interested about the northern mythology and satanism.

SFM - What kind of movies, books do You like to watch, read. Is there any genre that's Your favorite?

I like horror movies and sci-fi. I read quite little, but when I do I enjoy books about mythology or history.

SFM - Best memories?

Well, the only thing that comes to my mind right now is the feeling we all had when the first studio sessions were over. 

SFM - Worst experiences?

 Few gigs when we have been too drunk to play, hahaha, horrible.

 SFM - What do You want get to know after death?

 I haven't thought it that much. 

 SFM - Live & Death? 

 Don't know what to say. Opposites of each other. 

SFM - Love&Hate? 

 Same as above

SFM - What do You think about Black Metal scene (in Poland, Europe)?

Ok I think. I am not so familiar with the scene of Poland but there's few good bands.

SFM - Tell us a few sentences about future of Flauros

 Our new vinyl is out on summer, that's all that is sure right now. We are trying to find a label for our full-lenght.
