A general of the Eastern Armies, Gothtiimor is of the races of Easterling Men that held treaties with Melkor Bauglir, beginning with Ulfang the Black, who betrayed the Sons of Feanor to Melkor...the Easterlings continue to make attacks against Gondor..and still yearn for Sauron's victory.

Gothtiimor rose to great prominence-- a masterful tactician and fearless leader at the front-- and this was noticed by Sauron.

The exact length and beginning of their friendship- and it is close to being one- is not clear.
