Find your writer's write offset (values of read/write offsets might depend on your drive's/writer's Firmware version, so test your offsets after firmware updates )

What you need:
1. 1 drive or writer with known Read Offset (Correction)
2. 1 CD-RW
ad 1.: You need either besides the writer, you are searching the write offset for, another drive with known Read Offset (Correction), or you don't need this second drive, if you know your writer's Read Offset (Correction). Read here about detecting your drive's Read Offset Correction.
ad 2.: You could use at least 2 CD-R's, but 1 CD-RW is cheaper :)
Have a trial on finding your drive's Read Offset Correction and your writer's Read & Write Offsets in the Offset Database , in SatCP's User Reported Drive Features Database and/or in this Accuraterip Database.
You should compare your own results critically with those values.
