The faster the audio extraction is, the slower the compression (these two tasks require memory). Up to 700MB can be needed on your harddisk. If you have not enough room, I suggest you do the following (otherwise you will get write errors):
(In fact this is a 'cleaner' way to do extraction, maybe I should recommend it for all people who have little experience with EAC. It is a little slower, but 'cleaner')
EAC > EAC Options
Choose the tab 'Tools'. Somewhere in the middle it says
'On extraction, start external compressor queued in the background...'
You will see that it is checked. Uncheck it, and press 'OK'.
What will this do? Well, EAC will wait untill a previous track has been entirely compressed, before extracting the following one.
