APRIL 15th, 2007

It’s now 8:20 p.m., and we have been in the air for 6.5 hours. And we are still not quite halfway to Seoul. We appear to be somewhere over Alaska (at least that’s what it looks like from 32,000 feet – OK, OK, I can’t actually see and/or recognize Alaska from way up here – we have a cool sky map on the monitors in the seats in front of us that show us our progress).

So far, we have had a delicious dinner, tried unsuccessfully (despite the comfy reclining seats) to nap, watched a movie ("Miss Potter" – sweet and charming), and eaten warm, yummy peanut butter cookies. I really cannot complain. Mom and I are spoiled forever and will never be able to fly economy class again (but then again, we didn’t win the lottery yet, and the airlines only give the adoption discounts when you are actually adopting a child, or so I’m told, so I guess it’s back to economy class for us – insert sobs here).

Fortunately, it’s pretty uneventful up here at the moment, so I’ll sign off for now…
