We woke up at 8:30 am., in a panic as we had to meet Wenda at 9:00 am., and we hadn't had breakfast! We'd had a very unsettled night, not with Ceinwen, but with Gwion! He woke up after three hours sleep, not long before Ceinwen was due her midnight feed, and then stayed awake, bouncing around our giant king-size bed for another three hours! Ceinwen cried for the first time when she woke up, but seeing Gwion and she settled. After her bottle she fell asleep and woke up just before we did!
This morning was spent finalizing the adoption. Off to the Civil Affairs Center in Nanchang to sign all the papers, get our family photos and Ceinwen's passport pictures done, and hand over the all important monies!
At the Civil Affairs Office
We've still got the only settled baby! Ceinwen is very placid, and still taking everyting in. Gwen's daughter will only settle with her husband, Farhad, and Lindsay and Anne's daughter is quite unsettled, too, unless she is being carried!
We met director Lu again and he answered some of our questions about our daughters. He also told me the names of Ceinwen's foster sisters, and her foster mother.
We were given a lovely porcelain vase from the Civil Affairs Office for Ceinwen, as an adoption present.
After going to the public notary, Ceinwen was officially our daughter!
We're a Legal Family!
The afternoon was spent catching up on some much needed sleep and going to the supermarket to get some food and drinks!
Afternoon Nap
Gwion and Ceinwen are getting along very well. Gwion gives her his trains to play with, though not for very long, and takes all Ceinwen's toys off her! He likes to try and hold her, and will now kiss her! Ceinwen is all eyes on her big brother. She watches everything he does.

We also discovered that Ceinwen will walk if you hold onto her hands. She's quite unsteady, but I think she will be walking much earlier than Gwion did. She doesn't have any teeth yet, but is chewing on everything she can get hold off.
Ceinwen doesn't like having a bath though! Tonight we put her in the bath with Gwion (who absolutely loves having a bath and hates getting out!) and she refused to sit down in the water and kept trying to stand up. But we did manage to get her washed and out of the bath very quickly. She has now settled in her cot to sleep and Rhodri is reading a story to Gwion.
Hopefully we will all sleep better tonight.
