A very long flight and Sophia was a gem. She slept a little, ate a lot, and played. She also flirted with anyone within arms distance. Even the flight attendant fell prey to our baby's charms and whisked her away, but it was short-lived when Sophia lost sight of Mommy. WaaWaa! Flying with Sophia made the trip seem shorter and we certainly were not bored. Upon arrival to the Colorado Springs Airport, we were greeted by friends including my very close friend, Dee, who stayed at our home to care for Gregory. We can not thank Dee enough for this huge gift because she enabled us to have peace of mind about leaving our Gregory behind. I love you, Dee. It was an emotional and happy homecoming for all of us.
Gregory's introduction to Sophia was a little rough as you can see....
....but relations improved dramatically overnight.
Life goes on and the very next day we were attending Gregory's Graduation Ceremony.
Great job and a thumbs up for Gregory who finished the school year testing at near second grade level. Kelly and I both agree, Gregory seems to have grown in the short time we were away. We really missed our big boy.
Gregory loves his daddy. Later in the evening, we celebrated our homecoming and the graduation at a local restaurant.
Gregory and Sophia are children born in our hearts, and now cradled in our arms to be forever a part of our family. As they say in China, "Happy family"....that, I think, sums it up!
