Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms!

This was an especially nice occasion because it was also Sophia's "GOTCHA" Day. Kelly and I became Sophia Luchao Nichols' parents today in a big ceremony. Eleven other couples also got their baby girls today! Lots of joy and crying, but also feelings of relief after waiting for so long. This day took two long years in coming, from the start of the paperwork process to GOTCHA Day.

All the babies appeared healthy overall. However, over half of them have symptoms of chest colds, and probably all of them will show symptoms this week. Make sure you bring sufficient children's meds to cover colds, rashes, and bug bites. Sophia has all three things at this time, but we treated everything today and she is sleeping peacefully as we write this journal entry.

We also want to say congratulations to our wonderful son, Gregory, back in Colorado - you are now a Big Brother. We are very proud of you!
