We had a package made/sent to Julia and her foster family. We were so pleased/surprised to get an update (great for packing)...

The nanny said that Hao Fan was a very smart and happy girl, she was very active, too...

Now Mary can head to her room and play for hours perched on her bed with her menagerie of animals and such (complete with voices and whole conversations that are a stitch to overhear). This is the third time we've heard how busy Julia is ... I think our lives are about to change!

After church, Mary was invited to hunt eggs with some kids from the neighborhood - a first for her!

Of course she had to have a jacket. Once she caught on to the concept there was no stopping her... she wasn't counting the eggs and took more than she was supposed to! Each was filled with a treat - money, fuzzy chicks or candy! We are still having fun with all the chicks.

I have a votive candle holder that looks like a country church in snow, and it is now delegated as "chick church" and is the hot spot for the poultry to gather. We had to rescue some from the belfry one evening but they sing hymns pretty regularly. Who would have ever thought?

We received an update from our agency. Julia was taken in for a check-up and we got a total of 15 new photos of the event!

Julia is now 65 cm (25.6 inches), 8 kg (17.6 pounds), with her head and chest each measuring 43 cm (16.93 inches). She does not have any teeth yet.

She is described as a very happy baby with very round eyes. She can walk while holding on to things, not by herself yet. She can say "Daddy," "Mama," and very simple words.

She is said to have very good interaction with others and is "very busy"... Hmmm!
