I can't believe that the day has come for us to leave for Guatemala. This morning Marissa kept asking me if I was leaving yet. I told her not yet - almost! She asked several times and finally told me "Would you hurry up and leave so you can get Elyana!!" The kids are very excited and I am sure will be wound up until we get home.

I have to say a BIG thank you to my brother, Shawn, and his wife, Shannon. They moved into our house to stay with the kids. They have two small children of their own - so they are taking on a lot. They spoil the kids rotten and the kids love having them there. The second half of our trip my brother, Scott, and his wife, Carol, volunteered to have the kids stay with them. They have four of their own so they'll have 9 kids running around their house! Our kids are the same age and are best of friends. They will have a wonderful time. Thanks you guys! You went above and beyond the call of duty!! It is so nice knowing the kids are being loved and cared for while we are gone!

We made it safely to Atlanta. We will stay here tonight and fly out to Guatemala in the morning. I am posting our last family photo as a family of 8....

Last time as 8!

....The next Reid family picture there will be nine! Today we made it one step closer to Elyana!
