Saw family with little girl from China. Can’t stop thinking about them. The seed has been planted!
October, 2006:
Began researching international adoption and gathering brochures from different agencies. After much thought, decided to use CCAI (Chinese Children Adoption International) as our agency.
November 17th, 2006:
Completed application for CCAI
November 18th, 2006:
Attended information seminar given by CCAI. Immediately drove to post office and mailed application!
December 4th, 2006:
Received approval from CCAI to adopt!
December 21st, 2006:
Received Angela's birth certificate
December 22nd, 2006:
Received Angela's Physical Exam form
December 26th, 2006:
Received Lou's birth certificate and our marriage license
January 2nd, 2007:
First home study visit
January 4th, 2007:
Received Lou's Physical Exam form
January 8th, 2007:
Last home study visit
January 12th, 2007:
Received fingerprinting appointment from USCIS
(United States Citizenship and Immigration Services)
January 23rd, 2007:
CCAI receives finalized home study report
January 30th, 2007:
Fingerprints taken
